Ascent Poval
Material: Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA), a synthetic polymer derived from vinyl acetate.
Appearance:
Typically white, soft fibers.
Available in staple or continuous filament form.
Water Solubility:
Dissolves completely in water at specific temperatures, often ranging from 20°C to 90°C,
depending on the fiber grade.
Customizable solubility thresholds based on application needs.
Biodegradability: Fully biodegradable after dissolution, making it eco-friendly.
Tensile Strength: Comparable to other synthetic fibers, ensuring durability in
applications.
Elongation: Excellent flexibility and elongation properties.
Thermal Stability:
Stable at room temperature.
Begins to decompose at elevated temperatures beyond its solubility range.
Resistance:
Resistant to oil, grease, and most organic solvents.
Vulnerable to hydrolysis in water.

Raw Material Preparation: Polyvinyl alcohol is synthesized and processed into a
spinnable solution.
Fiber Spinning: The solution is extruded through spinnerets into a coagulating bath to
form fibers.
Post-Treatment: Fibers are stretched, dried, and treated to achieve specific solubility
characteristics.
Cutting and Packaging: Finished fibers are cut to length (if staple form) or wound onto
spools (if filament form).
Low Temperature Solubility: Dissolves in cold water (10°C–30°C).
Medium Temperature Solubility: Dissolves in warm water (30°C–60°C).
High Temperature Solubility: Dissolves in hot water (above 60°C).
Each grade is tailored for specific applications based on the required operating
environment.
Textiles and Nonwovens:
Temporary Support Fiber: Used as a dissolvable component in blends for producing hollow
or lightweight fabrics.
Embroidery: Provides temporary support in lace or embroidered fabrics, dissolving
completely after production.
Construction Industry:
Reinforcement Material: Acts as a temporary reinforcing agent in cement or mortar,
dissolving to leave controlled porosity or improve material properties.
Agriculture:
Seed Tape: Used to encapsulate seeds in dissolvable films for easy planting and soil
integration.
Packaging:
Water-Soluble Bags: Used in applications like detergent packaging, where the bag
dissolves upon contact with water.
Medical and Hygiene Products:
Dissolvable Sutures and Fabrics: Temporary fibers used in wound care or surgical
applications.
Industrial Cleaning:
Dissolvable Filters and Wipes: Temporary cleaning tools that dissolve in water for easy
disposal.
Storage:
Keep in a cool, dry place to prevent premature dissolution.
Avoid exposure to high humidity or direct water contact.
Handling Precautions:
Use clean, dry tools to avoid contamination.
Ensure proper ventilation in workspaces to minimize moisture exposure.
